Today is Szelhamos' birthday.
October 4th.
This photo was taken in 1960, when he was 37 years old, having been in the United States for barely 3 years, at the time.
This is actually one of the very few photos that I have that he's not completely mugging for the camera. He enjoyed showing off his silly self for posterity.
As I look at it, I realize where some of his grandchildren got their ears from.

Over 10,000 have viewed it since it was first put online in 2007. In fact, it was through that slide show that we were able to discover that there was actually a Szelhamos side of the family.
If he were here to comment about that he would probably turn the discussion into something revolving around sex, money, politics or religion.
Then, he'd likely tell you to "Csokolj meg a seggem", which is a formal Hungarian salutation.
